Description

The Precision Point PERMA-HAND™ Surgical Suture, Size 2-0, 18", with PS needle is a nonabsorbable, sterile surgical suture composed of silk, a natural organic protein. The silk fibers are carefully processed to remove natural waxes and gums, resulting in a cleaner material with reduced risk of adverse tissue reactions. The suture is tightly braided to enhance its strength and ensure uniform tensile properties.

Each strand of PERMA-HAND™ is coated with a special wax mixture. This proprietary coating improves pliability, allowing for smooth tissue passage and easier suture handling. The wax finish also contributes to the reduction of fraying and drag, which supports secure knot tying and precise suture placement during surgery.

The PS needle is a precision 3/8 circle reverse cutting needle, commonly used for skin closure and general soft tissue approximation. Its cutting edge enables efficient penetration through tough or fibrous tissues, while maintaining accurate suture control. The design of the needle supports atraumatic placement with minimal resistance.
